I was happy
and marimba was there with me.
I was lonely
and marimba was there with me.
I was sad,
I got damaged full of inconsistency,
I was there having conflicts with desire
and marimba was there with me.

"It's only the marimba"
"Just play the classic number, that should do"
"The marimba among percussion is enough"
I hear people saying.

My approach to marimba music was different.
I wanted to speak of souls through marimba
Of music, of life, I wanted to speak.
Wanted to share the inspiration of marimba music with people.

Toward the future,
there were composers,
performers,
and the audience
who trusted the possibilities of marimba music.
A single drop of my desire for marimba music
began to flow.
A small flow turned to a river and headed to the ocean.
It became a global current.

Breathing the soul of music into the marimba
sympathizing with many people,
That's the music I want to play.

Marimba is my soul.
And my life is with the marimba.
