The original song is by Arlo Guthrie and tells the story of pro-people anti-imperialist singer Victor Jara, who was brutally murdered by reactionaries during the US-backed military coup against popular government of Salvador Allende. Subsequently, Jara became a symbol of resistance music all over the world. This rendition of Arlo Guthrie's song in our own way is Anushtup's tribute to the memory of Victor Jara.
