Born May 8th, 1980 in Accra (Ghana) of a Breton marine father and a Ghanaian mother, Myles spends his childhood rocked from country to country through all western Africa.

After the separation of his parents, he leaves settling down in England with her mother and his two sisters. At the age of fourteen, he launches into the rap, under influence Tribe Called Quest. He registers and in the yard of the school, he resells to his companions his audio cassettes tinkered at the house.

Myles is twenty years old when he begins singing his texts for the first time. He feels an intense pleasure. For his mother, who hears him one evening unexpectedly, it is a revelation: the voice of his son reminds her of Soul Men of the 60s.
Strengthened by these encouragements, Myles Sanko takes up a duet of rap/pop with his young sister while studying as engineer financed by working as cook in restaurants.

In 2007 it is the big jump: Myles makes of his passion a job and create the group of funk improvisation BIJOUMIYO with which he shoots since then all over the world.
Myles also organizes Soul evenings and Jazz in clubs of Cambridge, his city of adoption. He is also the invited singer of the English group of classic soul SPEEDOMETER which travels stages of the whole world with by his side sometimes the ex chorus-singer of JAMES BROWN, Martha High.

In 2009, Myles decides to search a composer, and after several fruitless collaborations, Thierry Los, leader of the Parisian group VEGOMATIC which in 2007 had signed with Mercury / Universal for a solo project electro music-disco-funk, MONTLERY was presented to him.
After the failure of the single « Don’t Give Up Now », the contract is returned to him, but he has yet some songs for this project.

Interested, Myles went to meet him in his home in Paris. Between both men, the current passes, and they will compose in the year 2010 more than about twenty tracks guitar / vocals during some Myles's passages in France.
Seven of them are recorded with a group of jazz men that Myles selected during his evenings for the 1st album released in 2012 « Born In Black & White ».

Then, "Forever Dreaming" is officially released on label Soul/funk German Light Records so benefiting from an European distribution (25/11/2014).
The group, which includes a section of brass instruments, has toured 150 dates in 2014 in whole Europe and Myles made the first part of the German tour in duet piano-voice with Gregory Porter.
He crossed the Atlantic Ocean at the beginning of February to perform in Brazil and after that on tour in Japan.

Myles released his 3rd album "Just Being Me" on October 28th, 2016 and will be on tour in Europe and North Africa in 2017.

Myles says - “the new album will be about true love, politics and hope. I am hopping to connect to my deepest feelings on this one and take my fans to a new place” .
