Description
This song was written during WWII and conveyed the wishes of many service men. It is rumored that the song writer talked Bing Crosby into recording it during a round of golf. He did in 1943 and it has become a Christmas standard ever since. There have been many good recordings of it since including Perry Como's 1946 version.
