Oh elephant-faced, who is fond of the darbha grass, who sounds the knell for the tribulations of the mind ( victory unto you ).

wearing a snake as girdle, may you enter my heart that is smitten by the arts, oh brother of muruga, leader of the bhootha-ganas who are adorned by intimidating shoulders ( victory unto you ).
